My father spent much of the later years of his life expressing his feelings through drawing. Here are some my favorites.
This sketch is part of a group of studies and so even though the head is clearly not the same person as the one holding the glass, the fact that they share the same page makes me think that perhaps a man was offering this woman a glass of wine, or perhaps drinking it in her company.

My father, Samuel Wray passed away September 1, 2007. He was 86. My mother, Ellie, cared for him full-time for the last four years of his life. She is proud of his talent, and would love to share it with the world.

Wow, he really could draw!
Labored away in anonymity for his whole life!
I look at this site from time to time, just to see whats new on it.....this particular combination of the mans hand and the womans downcast eyes is very interesting. I love his quick line drawings, and these two together makes it extra special.
