The subtle use of negative space and neutral color indicating the spine is...what can I say? It's just incredible. Your father was one fine artist. You must be very, very proud. Someone mentioned in a previous post - a movie of his life. I couldn't agree more.
I do love this one. And I so wish I knew more details of his life...much of it is a mystery, but my mother recently found several diaries, and he used to write very detailed letters home to his parents, and she kept all of them. Maybe during the course of exploring his drawings I will add some bits and pieces from them...thank you for your kind words. We all think he was very talented. My mother still has his childhood drawings fer cryin' out loud!
