The strength in her face is almost masculine. It makes me think of my father's unspoken fears about his own past. I think that he locked himself away from the world partly out of a conviction that someone, someday would step out of the shadows and take him unawares.
My father, Samuel Wray passed away September 1, 2007. He was 86. My mother, Ellie, cared for him full-time for the last four years of his life. She is proud of his talent, and would love to share it with the world.
Please let me know if you are interested in purchasing a reproduction. All proceeds will go to his widow, my mother. Interested parties please write.
